Q. How long do tasks last?
A. Normally from 10am until 4pm.

Q. What should I bring to a task?
A. Stout boots or shoes, work gloves and clothes to suit the weather conditions and site. Old clothes are best. For waterproofs waxed cotton lasts well. If you are buying new boots get steel toe caps for added protection.

Q. What about tools and materials for the task?
A. Tools, materials and any special equipment required are provided by the group.

Q. Can I do the volunteering part of my Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme with RACV? A. Yes, we have a number of students doing their Bronze, Silver & Gold Awards.

Q. What about food and drink?
A. Tea, Coffee and water are available on site. If you stay all day you will need a packed lunch. Cakes are always welcome!

Q. Do I need any experience?
A. No, you will be briefed on the task, and the safety measures needed.

Q. Is the RACV insured?
A. Yes, we are insured under a scheme run by the BTCV.
